Fernley Executive Named to NAW Board

(PRWEB) March 11, 2004

Fernley & Fernley, Inc., the nation’s first professional management company of trade associations and societies, is pleased to announce the election of association executive Henry W. “Rick” Doyle, III to the Board of the National Association of Wholesalers-Distributors (NAW).

Mr. Doyle was elected by his peers on NAW’s Association Executive Council (AEC) to serve as their representative on the NAW Board for a three-year term. The AEC is comprised of the executive directors of NAW-member associations. Mr. Doyle’s role at Fernley & Fernley is Executive Director of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA), an association of over 850 distributors and manufacturers of gases and welding equipment in primarily the U.S. and Canada. The Association’s mission is to promote the safe operation and economic vitality of distributors of industrial gases and related welding equipment and supplies. GAWDA is a 58-year-old Association, which has enjoyed solutions-based services from Fernley & Fernley for 57 of those years. More information on GAWDA can be found at http://www.gawda.com.

“I am excited and honored to be elected by my peers to be their representative on the NAW Board,” said Rick Doyle. “This is an excellent opportunity for the Gases and Welding Distributors Association to benefit in new ways from its membership in NAW, and for me to give something back to an organization that has been invaluable to my professional growth and fulfillment.”

“Rick is another example of the quality professionalism and sheer dedication which Fernley executives give to the associations we serve,” said Taylor Fernley, President and CEO of Fernley & Fernley, Inc. “Rick has immersed himself in the wholesaler-distributor industry, and has established an excellent rapport with the GAWDA members and the industry leaders at NAW. We are very proud of his leadership role within the industry, and the personal commitment he has made.”

NAW encompasses over 100 national line-of-trade associations, representing virtually all products that move to market via wholesaler-distributors; and 85,000 wholesale distribution company personnel.

NAW members are offered benefits and programs, including: management development and networking, government relations, NAW’s Distribution Research & Education Foundation (providing cutting-edge research products) and NAW’s Service Corporation (offering a variety of Cost Saving Programs).
