Southern California Soap Oil Company Leads the Way in Online Commerce
Riverside, CA (PRWEB) July 1, 2009
Cibaria International has been a longtime player in the wholesale olive oil and specialty oil industry. While many companies have chosen to downgrade, make cuts, and shave off marketing efforts, Cibaria has done exactly the opposite. In May of 2009, Cibaria launched its first e-Commerce endeavor and separate soap oil division at Cibaria Soap Supply.com
The international oil wholesaler and distributor has long known that they had needed an online presence, and with their primary mode of order taking being via phone, they knew they needed to update their technological methods and processes. The company’s new ecommerce website, which was headed by Cibaria’s in-house designer, Terra Williams, features a customized open-source e-commerce platform that boasts custom shipping modifications to fit the company’s method of shipping in a manner that saves their customers money on shipment costs.
“Hiring an in-house web designer was a big move, but I am really glad that we did it,” explains company president Kathy Griset. “I think that Terra has done a terrific job with the design as well as the flow of the site, and she’s great to work with also! As time goes on, we can make changes, run specials, and add new items that will make us an even better supplier. Plus, we’ll be adding new consumer sites as well, so look for them in the near future.”
Cibaria Soap Supply features a vast array of soap oil / soap base oil products that are used by many handmade soap makers and soap making businesses around the nation. The product line currently includes quantities of 7lb soap oils, 17.5 lb soap oils, and 35 lb soap oils. Some of the site’s featured items include Coconut Oil – 76 Degrees White, Palm Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, and Pomace Olive Oil.
In addition to a stellar internet presence, and a seamless user experience, Cibaria has implemented a successful social media campaign that ties in closely with their e-Commerce website. Being active on sites like Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Digg, and Blogging has helped Cibaria connect with its customer base, along with heavily promoting the art of handmade soap making. Direct interaction with the customer via social media has led to great feedback, suggestions, and an even better customer service experience.
Cibaria’s VP, Karen Moore, is thankful for the opportunity to connect with consumers in a more direct manner. “It’s exciting to finally be online and ‘connected’ to our customers through all of the social medias. It gives us so many new ways to stay in touch and get the personal feedback from our users that helps us to be the best that we can be. Thanks Terra for bringing us into the 21st century.”
The new website at Cibaria Soap Supply.com is just the beginning when it comes to Cibaria’s online efforts. With the upcoming launch or their flagship business’s new website, they are completely modernizing the way they do business, and making a mark in wholesale and business to business ecommerce.
